Career Profile
The Echo Newspaper – HR Manager and Deputy Editor
Proudest achievement to date
In my career winning The Energia Best Small Family Business of the Year 2021 and in life my four amazing children – I’m very proud of where they are all at for their age (7,13,14 & 24).
Who inspires you the most?
My Dad – he founded The Echo in May 1980 and his approach to business and what The Echo means for the community is very inspiring. My Mam and Dad instilled excellent values in me which are so important in your career and life in general.
Inspiration for future generations
I was once a ‘young’ person and I remember that time in my life so well – the good and not so good parts. In 6th class I was bullied by a group of girls in my class and one day they got the whole class to ignore me for a whole day. Since then, I have despised bullying and any kind of injustice but I also believe the bully needs help too and in most cases there is a reason behind their behaviour.
