Next up in our #inspiringwomen campaign is a fantastic woman who has won awards for going above and beyond in her engagement since the beginning of our programme! @Bank of America‘s very own Ciara Murphy’s dedication not only to her role but to motivate & inspire has made a massive impact on hundreds of young people!

I work in technology at Bank of America in our Dublin offices as a Vice President within Markets Application Production Services.

Bank of America hosts an annual event to celebrate colleagues with outstanding volunteering achievements. I was honoured to have been recognised with a Global Volunteer Award for my volunteering efforts with Inspiring the Future in December 2019.

My biggest inspiration is my family and friends, especially my father. He is the one who has inspired me ever since my childhood. His qualities like his hard-working nature, discipline, sympathy and the sacrifices he’s made inspires me greatly on a daily basis.

I pride myself in working hard and being ambitious. I also love challenges, both personally and professionally, and having to tackle them head on. I am eager to learn but feel frustration when I sometimes ‘don’t get it’. I’m afraid of heights and hate mushrooms but my advice to young people I inspire would be to be yourself, enjoy life and pick a career that you will love and enjoy.
